Alliance of Hearts Initiative for Today’s Youths (AHITY), is a non-profit organization aimed at engaging youths in Developing Communities with “Educational and Cultural Appreciation Programs” in order to support their quest for self-actualization and upward mobility in society. We are a registered 501(c)3 in the United States.

Our Work

While there exits programs in different schools and churches to engage youths in the various groups, the uniqueness of AHITY is that

1. It is not limited to youths of a particular school or church
2. It holds focused Holiday Programs for youths
3. It provides them with Educational and Cultural Appreciation programs
4. It provides them Social skills Development and Awareness programs (thereby supporting their Cognitive with Affective growth)
5. It strives to support their overall Human capital Development
Academics
Central to AHITY’s programs is the Summer Youth Camp. During this time the students are taught basic Middle and High School class subjects. The subjects include, English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Integrated Science, Civic Education, History, Economics, Computer Appreciation, etc. The aim is to give these young people some “leg-in,” in the curriculum of their next grades at the beginning of the new school year. For greater impact, HomeWorks are administered to the students as ways of measuring their progress and inculcating academic discipline; as most of them attend broken public schools. And outside the basic Summer program AHITY organizes preparatory classes (when possible) to help student succeed at their High School exit exams and to write the matriculation examination into post-secondary institutions
Arts and Cultural Appreciations

This program touches on the gap in the area of affective education of young people in the public schools and society at large. Not all students can excel in the heavy academic liftings. Important aspects of this AHITY program is in folklores, music, dance, creative writings, drawings, and the art of public speaking. This aspect of the Youth Camp equally facilitates a transgenerational sustenance of the communities traditions and cultures
Career Guidance/ Motivational Speakers
Apart from the classroom works, the students are introduced to the assistance of Guidance Counsellors who can help them discern career paths. Also, different professionals and motivational speakers are brought in to interact with the young people. This is to help widen the horizons of the young people in order to aspire beyond their immediate social constraints. It also introduces them to the understanding of some contextual events and issues of the day.
Sponsor a Program

Other AHITY Programs, apart from the classroom one, include Sports, Music, Computer Awareness, Guidance Counselling, Excursions, Introduction to foreign languages, and Youth Camps. Costs for these vary but a donation of $500 (for any category) can provide a minimal experience for the students at every holiday session
